Breckin Tyler Rauch was born on November 1, 2004 in Upland, California to Bill and Olga Rauch. He is the fourth of five children and has two older brothers, who are also Eagle Scouts, one younger brother and one sister. Breckin enjoys spending time with his family and getting together with his cousins and hanging out with his friends. He has always been a very good student. Breckin is very friendly and has a kind and soft heart.
As a young boy, he enjoyed playing soccer and basketball. Breckin is currently a Freshman at Los Osos High School and is on the Freshman basketball team. After graduation from high school, he plans to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and then attend college.
Breckin’s scouting experience began at the age of eight as a Cub Scout. While a Cub Scout, he earned his "Arrow of Light" award. He really enjoyed moving up through the ranks of scouting, attending scout camps, and earning 28 merit badges.
Breckin’s Eagle project was held on October 27, 2018, where he directed the members of his troop to build a planter box and to build some shelves in the green house at Cortez Elementary School. Breckin demonstrated great leadership skills and was determined to provide the students with an opportunity to learn about the process of growing plants, from the start as seedlings in the green house to planting in the planter box.
Scouting has provided great leadership opportunities for Breckin that will benefit him for the rest of his life. We are very proud of Breckin for all his efforts in achieving his goals and for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout! We are thankful for great friends, family, leaders, and teachers who have helped him along the way. We love you! Way to go Breckin! Congratulations!!!
