A scripture that has touched me lately is. Alma 5:48-49
48 "I say unto you, that I know of myself that whatsoever I shall say unto you, concerning that which is to come, is true; and I say unto you, that I know that Jesus Christ shall come, yea, the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace, and mercy, and truth. And behold, it is he that cometh to take away the sins of the world, yea, the sins of every man who steadfastly believeth on his name.
49 And now I say unto you that this is the order after which I am called, yea, to preach unto my beloved brethren, yea, and every one that dwelleth in the land; yea, to preach unto all, both old and young, both bond and free; yea, I say unto you the aged, and also the middle aged, and the rising generation; yea, to cry unto them that they must repent and be born again."
We have ton of opportunities to serve. The thing we have been able to do a lot lately is build fences/Chicken coops.
The favorite thing of my mission is being able to be an instrument in the Lord's hands. I have loved helping others come closer to Jesus Christ. Its the most important thing anyone can do.
Howdy y’all! Texas is the best! I love it out here! I’ll share a sweet story with y’all! The man I’m with being baptized is Bill! Bill is awesome. I love him to death! Bill and I had a really awesome experience together. When I first knocked his door he came right outside all mad because he believed that God hated him! He tried to tell us how false the Bible is and the Book of Mormon. We finally got him to calm down and we were able to share with him the restoration and what we believed! He didn’t believe anything we said but he told us he will give us one chance for us to prove to him that God loves him and knows him individually. So we set a return appointment for the next Friday which was two days after we met him. Me and my companion were praying really hard about what we should share with Bill to make him feel our Father’s love for him. We prayed and prayed for those two days straight all about Bill. Me and my companion didn’t get an answer, until that Friday when we pulled up in the drive way. I got the strongest prompting I have ever gotten in my life to share a Mormon message called hope of God’s light. So, I tell my companion we need to share the hope of God’s light.(If you haven’t watched it, watch it. It’s sweet.) So we go in there and show Bill the video and he starts crying. I tell you this story to tell you God still answers prayers. If you have a question, ask him and I promise he will answer you. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and I know the Book of Mormon to be true. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and his atonement will bless all our lives and I know miracles have not ceased. I love all of y’all! And I love Texas. I know we are called somewhere for a reason. I know if y’all serve a mission you’ll be happier than a hog down in a holler!
