Jason William Cramer was born September 7, 2002. He is the second oldest of 5 children. He has spent most of his life here in Rancho Cucamonga but spent his younger years in Arizona, Ohio, and Michigan. He currently is a senior at Etiwanda High School where he excels academically. He enjoys physics and other science classes. He is a member of the Jazz Band playing the base guitar. But he also plays the alto sax. Jason is quiet but unexpected in the best of ways. He has an unassuming strength and capability, and an unexpectedly quick wit and sense of humor. He has an uncanny ability to turn anything into a comic strip. He is curious and inquisitive, and has an incredible ability to see the mechanical workings of the world around him. He’s hard working and resourceful. And what’s most impressive, he always has a great desire to do what is right and is conscientious and caring with others. He has a wide range of interests from animals and insects, to automotive work, to science, sports, electronics, and the outdoors. Most recently he has been enjoying learning to ride a dirt bike and has quickly learned to wakeboard and pull others with the ski boat this past summer. It was also impressive to see him recently increase his mechanical skills when he fixed the family car brakes without assistance from his dad. And yes they work :) Jason will be the 1st known eagle scout in our family history. Throughout his scouting experience he has shown enthusiasm for trying new things, patience when doing the hard things, and gratitude for the fun things. He has earned 32 merit badges, has spent over 60 nights camping in every type of weather imaginable, attended 3 summer camps, and hiked many miles with a full pack reaching heights of over 14000 feet. He is a outdoorsman and backpacking trips have become 2nd nature to him. He loves to catch, gut, clean and cook fish in the wilderness. Scouts has provided opportunities for activities he enjoys including shooting guns, repelling, waterskiing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing a boat on his own, surf, skim boarding, sand boarding, and mountain biking. But also gave opportunities to build a computer, weld, and work on car engines. His favorite merit badge was motorboating. The hardest merit badge was hiking. He said the most important merit badge he earned was family life because he said it will prepare him be a better husband and father. Jason has gained leadership skills as he has served his fellow scouts and priesthood holders in multiple positions including patrol leader. In many ways, he functioned as a assistant scoutmaster as his scoutmaster dad was able to rely on him to help with preparations that occur outside of scout meetings and campouts.Jason has been attending mission prep and has plans to serve a mission following high school. He has plans to continue his education at BYU.
